How we compare clinics

Our methodology for evaluating online hair loss clinics: the criteria we use, where the data comes from, and how we maintain editorial independence.

Informational only and not medical advice. Hairloss.med is not a medical provider. Always consult a licensed clinician before starting, stopping, or changing treatment.

Our approach

Hairloss.med evaluates online hair loss clinics using a standardized set of criteria. Every listing is reviewed by our editorial team before publication. We focus on factors that matter most to patients: transparent pricing, medication availability, intake experience, and shipping logistics.

What we compare

Each clinic is assessed on monthly cash-pay price, the range of FDA-approved and off-label medications offered, whether the intake typically starts online or may require a phone/video consult (rules can vary by state), delivery cost and policies, geographic availability, and cancellation flexibility. We also note whether the clinic uses licensed prescribers in every state it serves.

Where the data comes from

Pricing and feature data are collected from each clinic's public-facing website and other public materials. We review listings periodically and update them when we confirm changes. If you spot something that looks outdated, please contact us so we can review it.

Editorial independence

Some listings may be affiliate links or paid placements, meaning we may earn compensation if you sign up through our links. Compensation may affect placement. We aim to keep comparisons consistent by focusing on verifiable factors like price, medications offered, intake type, shipping, and state availability. See /disclosures for details.

Limitations

Our comparisons are based on publicly available information and may not capture every nuance of a clinic's offering. We do not evaluate clinical outcomes, and we are not in a position to verify the quality of care delivered by any provider. Always consult a licensed clinician before making treatment decisions.
